Anderson Associates are experienced chartered surveyors who cover large parts of Kent, including Ashford, Bexley, Canterbury, Gravesend, Dartford, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Gillingham, Medway and Orpington.
Kent is one of the most England’s most attractive counties, and it is known as ‘The Garden of England’ because of its large number of fruit and hop fields.
Kent is also one of the oldest of English counties. There is evidence of prehistoric settlements before it was conquered and occupied by the Anglo-Saxons – its closeness to the continent has historically made it more vulnerable to invasion. Kent was the backdrop for many of the air battles during the 1940 Battle of Britain, and parts of it were damaged by German bombing raids and flying bombs later in the Second World War.
Current major employers include the haulage and tourism industries, the construction sector, and scientific research. However, a large percentage of the county’s population commutes to work in London.
Kent has a wide mix of properties. The north-west of the county has come to be classified as an extension to London, but there are lots of picture-postcard villages with thatched cottages and timber-framed houses elsewhere in the county. Many former oast houses, which were used for drying hops as part of the brewing process, have now been converted into homes with lots of character.
Anderson Associates offer shared freehold and leasehold property surveys, commercial property surveys and full building surveys on properties in many parts of Kent, including Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Ashford and Tunbridge Wells.
We inspect and report on all types of properties in the county, including modern and period houses and flats, converted oast houses and timber-framed cottages.
The blue line in the map above shows approximately which areas we cover. We also cover some parts of South London and Surrey.
If you are not certain whether we survey properties in the area you are considering, please do phone us or send an e-mail for more information.
